United by the unexpected inheritance of a house in present-day Normandy, four estranged cousins discover their family’s history. As they explore the house, left untouched since the 1940s, they delve into the life of their ancestor, Adèle Vermillard, taking us to 1895 Paris, with the City of Light on the brink of an industrial and cultural revolution.

Through back-and-forth journeys between 1895 and 2025, the cousins cross paths with figures like Monet, Nadar, and Sarah Bernhardt, in a journey that helps them make sense of their own future.

Aptly titled “The Coming of the Future” in French, Colours of Time plunges us into a moment in time when Parisian creativity is at its apex… when not only electricity and technology, but photography and Impressionism in painting and music are creating a spark that’s about to erupt into a movement far beyond anyone’s expectations. Cédric Klapisch‘s (Call My Agent! ) endearing new comedy is nothing less than a soul-stirring, time-traveling – at times, hallucinogenic – trip for art lovers everywhere.

From the filmmaker of 'Bait'. When a fishing boat, the Rose of Nevada, lost with all hands 30 years ago, mysteriously reappears in the old harbour of a forgotten Cornish village, for those who remember, it’s surely a sign. The boat must go out to sea again and maybe then the luck of the devastated village will turn.

Young father Nick (George MacKay) and enigmatic newcomer Liam (Callum Turner) join captain Murgey (Francis Magee), and they head to sea. But when they return, satisfied with their haul, something is amiss — they’ve slipped back in time, and the villagers greet them as if they are the original crew.

Rose of Nevada is Cornish filmmaker Mark Jenkin’s hotly anticipated and critically acclaimed follow-up to his BAFTA-award-winning first feature Bait (2019) and Enys Men (2022). Unique among British feature filmmakers for the analogue way in which he crafts his films, Jenkin once again serves as writer, director, director of photography, editor, sound designer and score composer.

A bold Brazilian odyssey. A 75-year-old woman escapes surveillance and forced retirement, taking a boat through the Amazon to chase her dream of flight. A tender, defiant journey of resistance, rebellion, and self-discovery.

Tereza (Denise Weinberg), 77, has lived her whole life in a small industrialised town in the Amazon, until one day she receives an official government order to relocate to a senior housing colony. The colony is an isolated area where the elderly are brought to "enjoy" their final years, freeing the younger generation to focus fully on productivity and growth.

Tereza refuses to accept this imposed fate, instead embarking on a transformative journey through the rivers and tributaries of the Amazon to fulfil one last wish before her freedom is taken away—a decision that will change her destiny forever.

Political and unsentimental yet profoundly human, The Blue Trail is a transfixing hallucinatory journey you won’t easily forget.

A riveting political thriller following the rise to power of Vladimir Putin (Jude Law) through his relationship with a young, wildly out of his depth, media spin-doctor (Paul Dano).

The year is 2019. An American journalist (Jeffrey Wright) with a longstanding interest in Russian history is invited to the luxurious dacha of Vadim Baranov (Paul Dano), once dubbed “the new Rasputin” for the 15 years he spent as a close advisor to Vladimir Putin (Jude Law).

Having retired from politics, Baranov looks back on his incredible life, from his university days in the immediate post-Soviet era — when he met the love of his life (Alicia Vikander) — to his tenure overseeing trashy television shows to his role in transforming a seemingly uncharismatic Federal Security Service chief into Russia’s glory-seeking president. The Chechen war, the sinking of the Kursk nuclear submarine, interference in foreign politics, the monopolization of power: these and other colossal events unfolded under Baranov’s watch, whether he approved or not.

Dano perfectly balances cynicism and a sense of wonder in his decades-spanning portrayal of Baranov, while Vikander renders opportunism indistinguishable from desperation. Law, meanwhile, exudes a ruthless performance that corrodes the soul. Chilling, fascinating, and eerily intimate.

Based on Giuliano da Empoli’s award-winning novel and inspired by real-life Spin-doctor Vladislav Surkov, from director Olivier Assayas (Clouds of Sils Maria, Irma Vep).

Three two-reelers of the finest silent comedy from Chaplin’s early years in Hollywood, with live piano accompaniment by Lillian Henley.

Young English music hall star Charles Chaplin made his first appearance in a motion picture in early 1914. Two short years later he was on his way to becoming an international superstar, film companies queuing up to fund the creator of the ‘Little Tramp’ with any budget he required! These are three of the twelve wonderful short films Chaplin made for the Mutual Film Corporation 1916-1917. They’re every bit as much of a joy to watch today as they were when first released, showing film by film how his filmmaking genius developed as performer, writer, director and editor.

We begin with The Pawnshop. Charlie is a shop assistant with questionable shop assisting skills, successfully driving his fellow shopworkers, his boss and customers up the wall. It’s only when he happens to be in the right place at the right time that he inadvertently saves the day, wins the gratitude of his boss and the heart of the boss’s daughter.

Next up in Behind the Screen, we meet film industry characters including a young aspiring actress and Charlie, this time a junior stagehand shifting scenery about to the orders of his lazy boss. There’s lots of fun to be had with cameras, costumes, props, cast and crew until suddenly a strike shuts down production and Charlie and his assistant (the actress, disguised as a boy) are in danger!

We close with The Immigrant, which launches with tired and hungry immigrants aboard a ship bound for America, one of whom is Charlie. He meets a mother and her daughter aboard, and later, penniless but for the coin he’s just found on the street, re-meets the daughter by chance in a restaurant. He wrangles penury, beans and a very angry waiter before love wins the day.

PARENTS! GUARDIANS! Please note the front row of our balcony is not suitable for seating young children due to the height of the guard-rail blocking small ones' sightlines of our screen.

Music and power intertwine in Primavera, as Antonio Vivaldi teaches an orphan violinist how to imagine a new destiny for herself.

An astounding feature debut by acclaimed opera director Damiano Michieletto, Primavera is a fictionalised account of Antonio Vivaldi's time as resident composer and violin teacher at the Ospedale della Pietà in Venice, where he composed most of his major works, but told from the perspective of one of his most talented female students.

18th Century, Venice. The Ospedale della Pietà is a refuge for orphaned and abandoned children. Here, girls study music, the most talented of which are placed in a special orchestra – renowned as one of the best in the world. They play for Venetian high society and wealthy patrons of the orphanage. While their showcases are used to raise money for the orphanage, they are also used to help secure marriage proposals for the women. Among this orchestra is 20-year-old Cecilia, an extraordinary violinist who is betrothed to a wealthy soldier when he returns from battle abroad. Though music has opened her mind, the doors of the orphanage remain closed until she is married. But her world is suddenly disrupted when a wind of spring awakens something within her with the arrival of a new teacher, composer and maestro di violino, Antonio Vivaldi. His tutelage and mentorship forever changes her, as she begins to imagine what her future could look like if she were able to take a different path and embrace her art.
