A hoot and a half for the first Palace Sunday Silent of the year, welcoming back Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy in the late 1920s just as they were starting to become ‘Laurel & Hardy’. It’ll be a happy hour and a bit, with some fantastic shorts offering big laughs, daft slapstick and tender moments for which the ‘boys’ are known and loved.
Enjoy the fellas making a hair-raising getaway on a bicycle in DUCK SOUP, and trying their best (i.e. really badly) to fend off a felon in DO DETECTIVES THINK. These plus more, plus the wonderful Lillian Henley on live piano accompaniment to the films (plus Gregor Huchinson playing as we take our seats!).
Bring on 2025!!
