Cinema WalksU

Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate have been filled with places to see a film since the dawn of moving pictures! Join us to discover them all, in person and on foot.

Cinema Walks explore and celebrate everywhere the towns have shown films, from converted sheds to glorious picture palaces, from buildings still standing to those of which all flickering traces are long gone. Taking in local characters and social history, archive images and film clubs happening next week, visit each town’s love for the sights, sounds and sensations of film from the 1890s to today.
